Please note that there will be a dress down day this Friday in support "Tunnel to Towers." The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a nonprofit that honors the legacy of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who died on 9/11, by supporting first responders and veterans.

It provides mortgage-free homes to fallen first responder/Gold Star families and builds smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans.

Your dress down fee will go to supporting this wonderful charity.

Mason Needed

A student is currently planning his Eagle Scout project and is seeking a skilled mason willing to volunteer time and expertise. The project involves installing memorial bricks on campus. If you or someone you know may be able to help, please contact me directly.

Financial Aid Applications

For current families, the Financial Aid application period runs from April 16, 2026 through June 1, 2026.

Carefully review the Blackbaud Financial Aid Management instructions to ensure your application is completed correctly.

Only applications completed and verified by June 1 will receive a decision by June 30.

Decisions will be emailed to the address listed on your application.

Before contacting the school, please confirm with Blackbaud that your application is complete and verified.

Please allow ample processing time; verification can take several weeks.

Financial Aid will not be considered if there is an open tuition balance.

Renewal applications not verified by June 1 cannot be applied to the 2026–2027 school year.

Documents must be uploaded directly to the application; mailed documents are no longer accepted.

Spring Musical: Come From Away

Based on the true story of Gander, Newfoundland, Come From Away tells how a small town welcomed thousands of stranded airline passengers on September 11, 2001. The production highlights compassion, generosity, and human connection in extraordinary circumstances. Performances will be held on May 1, 2, and 3.

April 27 – Senior Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Archbishop Hicks will celebrate Mass for graduating seniors from Catholic high schools. Parents are welcome. Mass begins at 10:00 a.m. Seniors should meet on the Cathedral steps at 9:30 a.m. Students will be dismissed after Mass. Transportation is not provided. Proper school uniform and grooming are required. This is a mandatory event for seniors.

April 28 – Susan and Daniel P. Mahoney Honors Academy Capstone Presentations

Seniors in the Finance and Law Honors Academy will present their Capstone projects, showcasing three years of academic work, research, and growth. Families are warmly encouraged to attend. Please remember to RSVP if you have not already done so.

April 29 – Blood Drive

Our third Blood Drive of the year will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Donors are urgently needed. Sign up using the QR code emailed or at nybc.org/sponsor with code #02228.

May 1 – College Decision Day

May 1 is the national deadline for college deposits. Students must accept one offer and submit a deposit. Please ensure college decisions and scholarship information are updated in Naviance so final transcripts can be sent correctly.

May 1 – College Fair

The College Fair will include approximately 78 colleges, as well as trade and technical schools. Parents are welcome to attend.

May 1 – College Sweatshirt Day

Seniors are encouraged to wear apparel representing their chosen college, following dress-down guidelines.

May 1 – Community Service Hours Due

All required service hours must be completed and uploaded to x2vol by May 1.

May 1 – Dress Down: Tunnel to Towers

Dress-down donations will support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Students may give $3 to their first-period teacher.
