Dear IST Families,

In Elementary, the staff and students have been speaking about the theme “Getting Along.” Before the start of the year, the staff reflected on the strengths that students in that section generally show. They also made plans to support their classes based on the question, “Where can we help them improve?” Here, teachers spoke about using shared language and strategies to use across classes and even the section that can support students in working well together.

Alle elementari, insegnanti e studenti hanno affrontato il tema “Getting Along” (“andare d’accordo”). Prima dell’inizio dell’anno i docenti hanno riflettuto sui punti di forza che gli studenti tendono a mostrare sotto questo punto di vista. Hanno inoltre elaborato piani di sostegno per le loro classi basati sulla domanda “Dove possiamo aiutarli a migliorare?” In questo caso gli insegnanti hanno parlato dell’uso di un linguaggio condiviso e di strategie da utilizzare in classe che possano aiutare gli studenti a lavorare insieme nel migliore dei modi.
